Mission

To create, through comprehensive and coordinated program activities, a safe
climate of awareness so self-directed social change toward the elimination of
poverty can take place on the part of individuals and families.
Organization Description    

Macedonia MBC Operation Hope was formed by Macedonia Missionary Baptist
Church to serve low income residents of Tacoma/Pierce County Washington.

Our organization rebuilds families through programs that promote holistic
change by investing in the education, employment, and personal care systems
of low-income men, women and their children.
About the Executive Director and Pastor







Pastor Tunch a proud former US Marine who was called into the Gospel
Ministry on April 12, 1986.

Pastor Tunch Says: As I continue to perform the many functions of my pastoral
ministry, I will continue to give God great glory for being who He is. As a caring
pastor, I pursue nourishing the spiritual growth of Gods flock and promoting the
doctrinal purity of the church as an institution. I have been blessed with a holy
charge by our Lord Jesus Christ.

My motto is, “If I can help somebody, then my living will not be in vain.” I love
everybody!

Rev. Dr. Kenneth W. Tunch

Pastor Kenneth W. Tunch has a Doctorate of Ministry Degree, Master of
Ministry Degree, an Accounting Degree, and a Degree in Business
Administration. Rev. Tunch has completed training in Grant Writing,
Organization Development, HIV Testing (OraSure and Rapid Testing), Non-
Profit Board Development, Succession Training, and Fund Development.

About The Director of Macedonia MBC Operation Hope







Ms. Rhonda Jones is the Director of Macedonia MBC Operation Hope and has
served in this capacity for over the last five years.

Ms. Jones brings with her over 20 years of community of serve work. Ms. Jones
has worked as a Youth Development Counselor, Employment Specialist, HIV
Outreach Prevention Counselor, and Transportation director. Ms. Rhonda
Jones is a perfect fit for Macedonia MBC Operation Hope because she has the
compassion and a strong desire to help those in need.

Ms. Jones is a member of the Washington State Region 5 Community Planning
Group, African American HIV providers Work Group, and been trained in
Employment, Grant Writing, HIV Testing and Prevention Counseling (OraSure &
Rapid Testing), and Business Administration.
