Project Get Employed today provides our job applicants with the opportunity to earn an income that will help
them be self-sustaining. Provide quick access to the basic necessities (i.e, food, clothing, shelter, and
improvement in overall quality of life).
Helping low-income residents of Tacoma/Pierce County WA overcome barriers to employment, such as, drug
and alcohol abuse, homelessness, basic education, child care, transportation, low self-esteem, physical and
mental disabilities and work clothing.
Many of the services provided by Project Get Employed Today are not found in the One-Stop System, such as,
marriage reconciliation, abstinence
education, family counseling, HIV testing and prevention counseling, Holistic health Recovery Program, and
Safety Counts.
Services at Project Get employed today are Tailored to each job applicants skills and abilities. Job Developers
match each person's interests,
aptitudes and skills with the employers job requirements and schedule job interviews.
Instructional Methods and Tools: Lectures, mock interviews, Instructional Methods and Tools: Lectures, mock
interviews, demonstrations, discussion periods, role playing, videos, power point demonstrations, discussion
periods, role playing, videos, power point presentations, and practical applications.

since April 2002 moving them toward long-term employment and increased ability to earn a livable wage
resulting in happy and healthy families.
